As an exporter, you will be required to register a legal entity in Fiji before you commence your export business. Given below are the steps taken by Foreign (2.1a) and Local (2.1b) businesses when preparing to export.
Reserve company name with Registrar of Companies
Apply for FIRC from InvFJ
Register company with Registrar of Companies
Register and obtain TIN & VAT from FRCS
Apply for work permit from Department of Immigration (if required)
Register with RBF
Register as an employer with FNPF
Register for Fiji National University levy
Apply for appropriate export/import permits as outlined in the Guide
Register company with Registrar of Companies
Register and obtain TIN & VAT from FRCS
Obtain National Fire Authority certificate
Compliance to Occupational Health and Safety
Register as an employer with FNPF
Register for Fiji National University levy

Different Agencies in Fiji are responsible for the approvals or issuance of export licences for different products that are exported from Fiji. In some cases, one step in the process must be completed before the next can be started.
